Overall, I liked this book. Right off hand, the actual six 'new' moves - squat, deadlift, lunge, push, pull, twist - didn't feel so new after reading them. This being the main premise of the book, I felt it was somewhat of a let down. If you haven't been exposed to any information on weight lifting or fitness, this is a great break-in/introduction for you. The moves are basic and are usually the moves that many lifters and trainers overlook. The authors do a great job of illustrating each move and offering some variations of each move so that you'll get varying results and won't grow bored with each move.

This book gives great insight as to the working of the shoulder,as well as all of the connecting tissues. This is not written on such a level that you will not understand the text, it is clear cut with direct ideas, that will save you having to go to a rehab center and pay big bucks to learn. I would suggest buying this book if you ever had a shoulder injury.
